Indeed. Thanks for pointing this out! I've made the necessary PRs below to move this along:

• Sytest: Send /{send,make}_knock to Synapse workers matrix-org/sytest#1379
• Complement: Route /make_knock and /send_knock to workers in Complement docker image #17195

Adding these endpoints to the test configuration in Complement (which has worker tests) passed CI: #17195

So it looks like workers can indeed handle these endpoints and this documentation is sound. Thanks for being patient! I've added a changelog entry so we can get this merged.
