Summary

Make sure FTR tests cover a few happy paths.

  • Creating a query ruleset from an empty deployment
  • Adding a new ruleset in a non-empty deployment
  • Deleting a query ruleset from the ruleset details page
  • Deleting a query ruleset from the rulesets management page
  • Editing a query ruleset, changing the document ID for the first document, and changing the first metadata field value

Checklist

Check the PR satisfies following conditions.

Reviewers should verify this PR satisfies this list as well.

  • Any text added follows EUI's writing guidelines, uses sentence case text and includes i18n support
  • Documentation was added for features that require explanation or tutorials
  • Unit or functional tests were updated or added to match the most common scenarios

See my comment in config.feature_flags we should just enable this there IMO.

Same as above: I followed this approach but is doesn't render the menu entry point for the Query Rules plugin and the tests fail. Perhaps @efegurkan has more context on why it is set up like this

put these in an after and wrap them in try/catch. as written the rulesets will not be deleted if the test fails.

As far as I know, the after block is executed regardless of the test result—whether it passes or fails. In my opinion, wrapping it in a try/catch block could obscure the outcome of that important API call and reduce our visibility into potential issues.

## Summary

Make sure FTR tests cover a few happy paths.

- Creating a query ruleset from an empty deployment
- Adding a new ruleset in a non-empty deployment
- Deleting a query ruleset from the ruleset details page
- Deleting a query ruleset from the rulesets management page
