libxml2 is a required dependency for libspatialite-4.3.0a.

As for the GObject-Introspection build failure, I need to figure out if this is a local issue or not:

ImportError: /opt/easybuild/software/Compiler/GCCcore/7.3.0/LibUUID/1.0.3/lib/libuuid.so.1: 
version `UUID_1.0' not found (required by /opt/easybuild/software/Compiler/GCCcore/7.3.0/util-linux/2.32/lib/libblkid.so.1)

@vanzod Ah, the good old UUID problem. It is already fixed #6962/#6963 , but you might have to do some recompiling (part of X11), see #7253
