Description

Closes out some alternate cases for password manager detection and entry, such as OAuth -> TOTP, and entry from the 1PW desktop app.

Many of the styles and labels are very explicit. This is very intentional.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The changes focus on improving the accessibility and password manager compatibility of an OTP (One-Time Password) input component. In the component implementation, a hidden input used for autofill is enhanced with additional HTML attributes for better screen reader and password manager support, including descriptive ARIA attributes and explicit naming. A React effect is added to redirect focus from the hidden to the visible input when autofill occurs. The styling of the hidden input is adjusted to ensure it remains accessible. Corresponding tests are updated and expanded to verify these attributes, focus behavior, and accessibility features. Additionally, the useInput hook is updated to include similar attributes on the OTP input element. No public API changes are made.

Learning: In the Clerk JavaScript repository, contributors create intentionally empty changeset files (containing only the YAML delimiters) when a PR touches only non-published parts of the codebase (e.g., sandbox assets). This signals that no package release is required, so such changesets should not be flagged as missing content.

Learning: In the Clerk JavaScript repository, changeset headers support single quotes syntax (e.g., '@clerk/backend': minor) and work fine with their current changesets integration, so there's no need to change them to double quotes.
