   • Refactored collectItems to iterate over raw releases using a direct for...of loop with toVisitorRelease(rawRelease) instead of releases.map(toVisitorRelease), eliminating dynamic intermediate mapped array allocations on edge requests.
   • Refactored thisWeek collection in buildWhatsNewGlance to use a direct loop with early exit (at 3 items) instead of .filter().map().slice().
   • Refactored ranked theme grouping in buildWhatsNewGlance using direct loops instead of .flatMap() allocations.

2. src/utils/release-summary.ts & src/utils/github-releases.ts:

   • Hoisted static regular expressions at module scope (SENTENCE_SPLIT, METRIC_TOKENS_REGEX, COMMIT_HASH_MATCH, BULLET_PREFIX, etc.).
   • Refactored sentenceCount, metricTokens, and groundedReleaseSummary to use single-pass loops and avoid multi-stage array chaining (.map(), .filter()).

3. Type Safety & Diagnostic Fixes:

   • Resolved DOM parameter union type mismatches in src/env.d.ts for Element and ParentNode.
   • Fixed Boolean cast for panel.hidden in Footer.astro.
   • Fixed type assertions in content.config.test.ts and hire-analytics.test.ts.

4. Verification:

   • Executed full Vitest test suite (340 passed), ESLint, Prettier, npm run astro check (0 errors), and production build (npm run build).
