Summary

  • add a dedicated aisimulate support workflow for exact model/GPU support cells
  • generate a deterministic dense/MoE topology search capped at 16 candidates, including curated PP fallbacks
  • connect generated recommendation configs to formal whole-model FPM data through public config, Sweeper, and the native timing bridge
  • add fail-closed exact-identity, FPM publication, held-out FPM accuracy, matched E2E accuracy, and recommendation-value gates
  • direct unsupported predict/recommend requests to the self-service workflow
  • generate Brev commands that reuse an existing instance without instance lifecycle actions

Validation

  • 219 passed across the support workflow and adjacent CLI/runner/Sweeper regressions
  • rebuilt and reinstalled the non-editable native wheel successfully
  • embedded Rust/Python timing test passed
  • Ruff, rustfmt, and diff checks passed
  • public unsupported-model proof with Qwen/Qwen-AgentWorld-35B-A3B on an 8xH200 cell:
    • exact support check returned unsupported with exact_match=false
    • plan generated 16 valid MoE candidates
    • both recommendation configs preserve forward_model: fpm and the systems overlay through Sweeper
    • validation without GPU evidence failed/blocked the required gates as intended

Scope and remaining validation

The MVP onboards arbitrary model/GPU combinations when the GPU already has a packaged AIC system specification. Adding a new GPU architecture is outside this change.

The actual FPM campaign and matched E2E measurements require the requested GPUs. They have not been run because the local Brev session needs reauthentication; no Brev instance was created, stopped, or deleted. This PR remains draft until that evidence is collected or the project owners explicitly split it into follow-up validation issues.

Closing as superseded by Yiming's standalone onboarding work in #196 / AIC-1963. Retaining this PR as a design reference; broader qualification requirements remain tracked separately.
