Scanning QR Code does not work at all #1545
Comments
Describe the bug Reproduce Zeus version Node interface Device Device operating system |
The LN-Connection QR code scanning doesn't work. with BitBanana it works.... |
Nope. Same problem with the QR code. |
Could you provide some more context? What QR code are you trying to scan? |
|
Please note that the connection QR code isn't the same as the one for BitBanana. BitBanana uses GRPC and ZEUS uses REST. Alternatively, you can try connecting with Lightning Node Connect. Instructions here: https://docs.zeusln.app/for-users/remote-connections/umbrel#using-lightning-node-connect |
Not a scanner problem -> close issue? |
What else ? The Promblem is: |
A year back Zeus' scanner wasn't perfect, but we switched to another one that works extremely well. When I look at the example QR in that thread you mentioned (https://community.umbrel.com/t/zeus-ln-mobile/7619/4) then I'm wondering if any scanner can scan that. What data is in that QR that makes it so dense? But I'm not using umbrel, so I don't know any details... |
I think Umbrel may be unnecessarily encoding the cert in the QR, making it super dense |
Describe the bug
Trying to scan a valid QR Code (triple checked with various different scanner apps) results in nothing being scanned at all.
The integrated QR Code scanner does not even attempt to scan anything. Literally nothing happens. It's like I have my camera open without any scanning functionality. No scan whatsoever is even attempted!
Reproduce
Try to import node configuration via integrated QR Code scanner.
