Confidence Score: 3/5The PR should not merge until nested installed skills are checked and eyebrow discovery reliably selects and launches runnable binaries. The new verifier can silently omit a revoked nested skill, while its binary lookup can reject otherwise valid eyebrow installations; cross-root aliases also produce duplicate verification results. |
| Filename | Overview |
|---|---|
| src/cli/handlers/skillsVerify.ts | Implements verification and eyebrow handoff, but misses nested skills, has incompatible executable lookup semantics, and does not deduplicate across roots. |
| src/cli/handlers/skillsInstall.ts | Exposes existing registry and revocation helpers while preserving the prior installation source-resolution behavior. |
| src/cli/handlers/skillsCli.ts | Adds verify argument parsing and dispatch for registry, lockfile, and policy options. |
| src/main.tsx | Registers the new Commander subcommand and forwards its options to the handler. |
| src/cli/handlers/skillsVerify.test.ts | Covers core revocation and eyebrow behavior but omits nested-under-skill, cross-root alias, executable-permission, and Windows command-script cases. |
| docs/skills.md | Documents the verification scope, trust model, eyebrow integration, and exit-code behavior. |

Combined skills test suite (skills.test.ts + cli.skills.test.ts + skillsVerify.test.ts): 71 pass / 3 skip / 0 fail. Typecheck: 31 baseline errors unchanged (none related to this commit).
…igpine#2215) The r5 sync of upstream eb3c590 introduced skillsVerifyHandler in src/cli/handlers/skillsVerify.ts, registered it in main.tsx (line 4443 as 'skillsCmd.command("verify")'), but skipped updating the subcommand switch in src/cli/handlers/skillsCli.ts:222 — verify fell into the default branch and printed 'Unknown skills command: verify' at runtime. Fix: - import skillsVerifyHandler from ./skillsVerify.js (skills.ts re-export was never wired; the test file imports it directly from skillsVerify.ts) - add 'verify' case to the switch that passes registry/lockfile/policy options to the handler - extend SkillsCliOptions type with optional lockfile and policy fields so commander can hand them through Verification: - `node dist/cli.mjs skills verify` now runs and reports 6 installed skills, fetches https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Gitlawb/openclaude-skills/main/revocations.json (returns empty list per 2187 policy), warns about missing eyebrow. - typecheck: back to 31 baseline errors (no new failures) - build: ✓ Built opencc v0.21.0 - bun test src/cli/handlers/skillsVerify.test.ts: 20 pass / 0 fail
Summary
Adds
openclaude skills verify. The command has two independent parts. Each sentence below names the code path it describes.Revocation check (OpenClaude only).
verifywalks the project's.openclaude/skillsand the user skills directory. Skills from plugins, MCP servers, or--add-dirdirectories are outside it. For each skill it readsid, version, andsha256fromskill.jsonas written on disk and matches them againstrevocations.jsonwith the reader and match rule from #2187. The digest is the registry pin recorded at install, not a hash of the current files, so this part says nothing about the contents on disk and trustsskill.jsonas it finds it. A skill whose sidecar has no id and no digest is listed as skipped. A local install that copied a sidecar keeps that file's id and digest and is matched like a registry install. A list that cannot be read fails the command, the same as an install. Exit 1 when a skill is revoked.eyebrow handoff (optional, inert without the binary). When an executable named
eyebrowis onPATH, orOPENCLAUDE_EYEBROW_BINnames one, and the project has a lockfile, verifyspawnseyebrow verify --path . --lockfile eyebrowlock.jsonin the project directory with inherited stdio, prints the binary path it ran, and takes the child's exit code unless a skill was revoked.--lockfileselects another lockfile and--policy <file>adds--ci --policy <file>.verifydoes not check the eyebrow version. Without eyebrow or without a lockfile it prints one hint line and exits with the revocation result. No new dependency, no network call at startup, no download, no content hashing in the client.docs/skills.md(#2211) already tells users to run eyebrow by hand after install. This makes that one command. If the handoff is not wanted, the revocation check stands on its own and I can drop the second half.Changes
src/cli/handlers/skillsVerify.ts: the handler, the skill walk (nested and symlinked skill directories, skills nested below a skill as the loader finds them, each real directory visited once across both roots), the eyebrow lookup (first executable namedeyebrowon PATH,eyebrow.exeon Windows), and a spawn seam for tests.src/cli/handlers/skillsInstall.ts: exportsresolveRegistrySource, resolveRevocationsSource, readRevocations, andrevocationApplies;readRegistryEntriesnow uses the shared resolver. Install behavior is unchanged; the 43 existing install tests pass.src/cli/handlers/skillsCli.ts,src/main.tsx:verifysubcommand with--registry,--lockfile,--policy.docs/skills.md: a "Verify installed skills" section, one line in the command list, one line in the eyebrow section.Testing
src/cli/handlers/skillsVerify.test.ts, 20 tests: ok, revoked by id and version, revoked by digest, another version untouched, hand-made skill skipped, copied sidecar on a local install matched, symlinked skill directory found, a skill nested below another skill found, a symlink back to the root or an ancestor reports the skill once, the same directory linked from both roots reports the skill once, malformed list fails closed, absent list reads as empty, eyebrow args and cwd,--policyargs, revoked wins over a clean eyebrow run, missing lockfile skips the run, PATH lookup, a non-executable file earlier on PATH is skipped, a real shell script binary returns exit 3, a missing binary is reported.skills.test.ts43 pass,cli.skills.test.ts11 pass, tsc --noEmitclean,knipexit 0,bun run buildok. Branch is on currentmain./tmp/oc-live,/opt/eyebrow-0.4.6, and/opt/eyebrow-0.4.1. The project holdsci-fixfrom the registry and a hand-writtenhand-made.Two things the live runs caught and the change now handles: eyebrow derives an artifact id from the path it scans under, so the handoff passes
--path .from inside the project, the form the guide uses forscan; an absolute path reported every skill as added plus removed. And an eyebrow older than 0.4.4 has no OpenClaude discovery and reports every locked skill as removed, so the output names the binary that ran and the guide says to use 0.4.6 or newer.Summary by CodeRabbit
