On EndeavourOS KDE with Wayland, I'm getting substantially longer startup times on the game grid using this PR. The gap is between when the game is clicked and when it opens, i.e. when all of the game grid icons turn grey. I tried this on several games, and on Jak II, I measured the time from when I clicked to when the status bar stopped saying "No Image":

Not having the same issue on this version rebased against v2.5.212, and I couldn't find it on the v2.5.207 version of this PR either, so I'm not sure what was happening before. Tried smoke testing other Qt stuff for about 25 minutes, and I couldn't find any issues.

BTW are the libwayland-* libraries no longer included by the packaging scripts or is this going to run into the same problems we hit last time and added the code to remove them in a future mesa update? |

Hmm it seems we now include libwayland-egl, but -client and -server are not included Can someone with wayland and no qt libraries installed on the host (so a recent gnome system) make sure everything is working for them? Want to make sure that the new wayland plugin isn't loading anything from the host system on the KDE testers (the old plugin was what depended on libwayland-client, and it seems a bit weird that that isn't needed anymore). |
