Evidence-Ticket: OMN-15963

What

One net-new supersede record — drift/dod_receipts/OMN-15963/dod-occ-evidence-admissibility-validator/command.supersede.0886.yaml — completing the dead-carrier receipt repair for OMN-15963.

The surviving record in this item's chain (ordinal 885) binds the dod-occ-evidence-admissibility-validator item to omninode_infra#885, which closed unmerged, so the derived ::pr-live-state assertion fails closed on it forever. That record is immutable under the append-only rule and is preserved byte-for-byte; this higher-ordinal record carries the rebound receipt to the carrier that actually landed, omninode_infra#884 (merge 0fa14c8ff0c3ee85dcf23f65db86abfd561fdeee), with the item's own declared check re-executed live in the same probe plus an item-id-labelled echo.

Gates run locally (all green)

  • scripts/validation/check_receipt_hardening.py <new file> → exit 0
  • scripts/validation/check_receipt_hardening.py --supersession-corpus → corpus 2344, baseline 2344, exact match
  • pre-commit run --files <new file> → all hooks pass

Scope

Net-new evidence file only; no source change, no existing record modified.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Added a validation receipt confirming successful checks for the merged change.
    • Updated validation tracking to reference the correct completed pull request.
    • Recorded passing test and pull-request status verification with no source-code changes.

…he dead carrier

The chain's surviving record (ordinal 885) bound dod-occ-evidence-admissibility-validator
to the closed-unmerged carrier, so its derived live-state assertion failed closed forever.
Net-new higher-ordinal replacement re-executes the declared check live and pairs it with
the landed carrier in the same probe — completing this PR's dead-carrier tombstone for the
third failing evidence item.

Review Change Stack

Warning

Review limit reached

You’ve reached a temporary PR review limit under our Fair Usage Limits Policy.

Your recent review volume is higher than typical usage, so adaptive limits are currently applied.

Next review available in: 47 minutes

Limit details: You’ve used all 1 included review currently available under your plan. You completed 115 included PR reviews in the past 7 days; at that activity level, included reviews refill at 1 review per hour.

Enable usage-based reviews in Billing to review now. Otherwise, wait until the next included review is available.
You're only billed for reviews past your plan's rate limits ($0.25/file).

How can I continue?

After more reviews become available, a review can be triggered using the @coderabbitai review command as a PR comment. Alternatively, push new commits to this PR.

To avoid repeated limits, reduce automatic review volume by pausing incremental auto-reviews earlier, using label-based review opt-in, excluding WIP or generated PR titles, or requesting reviews manually when the PR is ready. If your team needs uninterrupted high-volume reviews, an organization admin can enable usage-based reviews.

How do review limits work?

CodeRabbit enforces per-developer PR review limits for each organization. Most developers receive the normal plan review availability.

For paid Pro and Pro+ PR reviews, CodeRabbit uses adaptive limits for sustained high-volume activity. When a developer's recent PR review activity reaches the 95th percentile or higher among CodeRabbit users, additional reviews become available more gradually as earlier reviews age out of the rolling window.

Please refer docs for additional details.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The PR adds a superseding YAML receipt for the evidence-admissibility validator. The receipt rebinds validation from closed-unmerged PR #885 to merged PR #884 and records successful pytest and PR-state probe results.

Layer / File(s) Summary
Receipt supersession and validation evidence
drift/dod_receipts/OMN-15963/dod-occ-evidence-admissibility-validator/command.supersede.0886.yaml
The receipt replaces the ordinal-885 binding, preserves the admissibility check, references merged PR #884, records 76 passing tests, and stores successful execution metadata.

Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~10 minutes

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to 65650

The PR adds a supersession receipt, but its current path and document shape may be rejected by receipt tooling, and its carrier validation may accept incorrect evidence without requiring an exact landed commit. Merge should wait for these contract and fail-closed validation fixes.

Align the receipt with the required storage contract.

The file uses command.supersede.0886.yaml, but the applicable rule requires drift/dod_receipts/<TICKET>/<ITEM_ID>/<run_timestamp>.yaml. The document is also a supersession envelope with a nested replacement, not a standalone omnibase_core.ModelDodReceipt. Move the record and update the related resolver contract, or define an explicit supersession exception before merge. Otherwise receipt tooling can reject or skip this evidence.

As per coding guidelines, the rule is: drift/dod_receipts/**/*.yaml files must use drift/dod_receipts/<TICKET>/<ITEM_ID>/<run_timestamp>.yaml and the omnibase_core.ModelDodReceipt shape.

Also applies to: 11-18

GitHub CLI gh pr view --json mergeCommit field documentation

💡 Result:

The mergeCommit field is a supported and documented option for the gh pr view --json command [1][2]. This field allows you to retrieve the merge commit associated with a pull request [3][4]. When you request this field, the output returns a JSON object containing the merge commit details, typically structured as follows [4]: { "mergeCommit": { "oid": "example-commit-sha" } } The oid field within the mergeCommit object provides the full commit hash (SHA) of the merge commit [5][4]. Key points regarding the usage of this field: - Availability: It is an explicitly listed field in the GitHub CLI documentation for both gh pr view and gh pr list [1][6]. - Use Case: It is primarily used to programmatically obtain the commit hash for merged pull requests [3][4]. - Data structure: As defined in the GitHub CLI source code, the mergeCommit field maps to a Commit object, which includes the OID [5]. If you need to extract just the hash for scripting purposes, you can combine this with the --jq flag [7]: gh pr view --json mergeCommit --jq '.mergeCommit.oid'

Make the landed-carrier check fail closed.

Require state == "MERGED" and compare mergeCommit.oid with replacement.commit_sha in both check_value and probe_command. Record the returned SHA in probe_stdout; keep actual_output as narrative text because it is not the authoritative captured stream. Use a runner gh version that supports --json mergeCommit --jq '.mergeCommit.oid'.

…t for this carrier

occ-preflight eligibility failed reason=pr_ticket_mismatch because the PR's
payload record binds to omninode_infra#884, not this carrier. Appends the
per-PR self-bind entry (append-only; prior entry hashes verified intact)
with a live-executed, RED-proven probe receipt binding PR #6536.
