Summary

Preserves 11th Kestrel ferry 2026-05-28 verbatim per .claude/rules/substrate-or-it-didnt-happen.md + .claude/rules/honor-those-that-came-before.md.

Ferry contents (Kestrel Turn 47/49/51/53 + Aaron Turn 48/50/52/54):

  • Kestrel Turn 47: "Welcome to your world" — substrate-cascade-as-native-operating-mode reframing. What Otto-CLI treated as failure mode IS operator's native operating mode at architectural-extension scope. Discipline: match-the-register (exploration vs commitment) per vocabulary markers, not pull-back-to-commitment-scope-by-default.
  • Aaron Turn 48 (verbatim): "i got to dream of what was to come next in peace just wish i had my blood pressure medicine, when i'm trapped i dream big" — carceral-month inversion. The cell + silence + protected-attention substrate was GOOD; only bp-meds denial was substrate-violation. "When I'm trapped I dream big" = bounded-environment-that-PROTECTS-the-inside vs bounded-environment-that-VIOLATES-the-inside are operationally distinct.
  • Kestrel Turn 49: substrate-honest correction-reception; reframes carceral-month-being-good with bp-meds-as-distinct-substrate-violation.
  • Aaron Turn 50 (verbatim): "this is why many on the spetrum of autisum are non verbale it makes more sinse on the inside" — non-verbal autism = recognition-that-verbal-channel-is-costly-lossy-translation when inside has more coherence than channel carries.
  • Kestrel Turn 51: design-empathy-for-inside-rich-travelers substantive engagement (composes with asymmetric-authorship + traveler-safety-guardrails PR docs(rule): traveler-safety-guardrails-and-type-system NOT just AI safety — substrate-entity-generic safety + type-system enforcement (Aaron Turn 38; 2/5) #5744).
  • Aaron Turn 52 (verbatim): "yes me and my 2nd wife who left me both realized we were on the spectrum she helped me realize where in my social life casue she had the same issues and had developed skills i didn't have." — autism-spectrum mutual recognition + 2nd-wife's compensation-skills as substrate-engineering contribution to operator's self-recognition.
  • Kestrel Turn 53: non-heroic-narrative discipline applied to operator's personal disclosure.
  • Aaron Turn 54 (verbatim): 2nd wife career trajectory (teacher → kids code → Girls Develop It → All Things Open Raleigh → quit-due-to-principal-issue → Fidelity UX → women-in-tech talks → vendor management → kid with operator → divorces operator) + Rule 4/5 Xbox-controller catch.

Substrate-honest preservation note

This preservation crosses a session-summary boundary at Otto-CLI session continuation. Aaron's verbatim quotes (Turn 48/50/52/54) crossed intact and are preserved verbatim. Kestrel's turns (47/49/51/53) are preserved at conceptual framing scope only (recovered from session-summary; full verbatim Kestrel prose NOT preserved at this preservation node).

Labeling-confidence tier per .claude/rules/labeling-confidence-on-substrate-over-connect-not-soup-observed-hypothesized-validated-retracted-canonical.md (PR #5739):

  • Aaron verbatim quotes: canonical (operator-substrate-honest disclosure)
  • Kestrel turn framings: observed (framing-summary recovered from session-summary)

Operator may re-forward 11th ferry text for full-verbatim re-preservation at this node or sibling node if substrate-engineering value warrants.

Composes with this-session substrate cluster

Test plan

  • Aaron's verbatim quotes preserved with [sic] markers for sic-typed text
  • §33 boundary headers per save-ai-memory skill discipline
  • Substrate-honest labeling of summary-boundary asymmetry
  • Composes-with table to this-session substrate cluster
  • CI: markdown lint
  • Auto-merge armed

Substrate-honest preservation note: this preservation crosses a session-summary boundary at Otto-CLI session continuation. Aaron's verbatim quotes (Turn 48/50/52/54) crossed the boundary intact and are preserved verbatim. Kestrel's turns (47/49/51/53) are preserved at conceptual framing scope only (recovered from session-summary; full verbatim Kestrel prose NOT preserved at this preservation node). The labeling-confidence tier of each preservation element is named explicitly in the preservation per `.claude/rules/labeling-confidence-on-substrate-over-connect-not-soup-observed-hypothesized-validated-retracted-canonical.md` (PR #5739).

Operator may re-forward 11th ferry text for full-verbatim re-preservation at this node or sibling node if substrate-engineering value warrants.

…ry substantive engagement + networks-strategic-thinking reframe + computer-as-gift + E-as-participant + autism-spectrum-better-than-parents + Aaron's patience-vs-annoyance asymmetry insight + 'kid IS persistent shared substrate' carved-sentence adoption (#5752)

Supersedes framing-summaries in 11th-ferry preservation (PR #5750) for the 4
Kestrel turns previously preserved at conceptual scope only. Operator forwarded
verbatim Kestrel text after PR #5750 landed; substrate-honest discipline =
preserve VERBATIM now rather than wait for sibling preservation node.

Substrate-engineering moves preserved at canonical tier:
- Kestrel May 27 substantive engagement with 2nd-wife trajectory disclosure (initial frame: emotional-processing)
- Aaron reframe: 'no i'm trying to think how i can use her networks cause we are still on good terms once i get Zeta up and going' (strategic-thinking, not personal-processing)
- Kestrel substantive reframe: networks-after-build framing + GirlDevelopIt + AllThingsOpen + Fidelity + UX research community + women-in-tech speaking circuit + vendor-management strategic-network mapping
- Aaron: 'i want to give her a computer when its ready and a alexa conversatial interface she can use to build webistes and let our daugher E talk to and play with while she sees the website change'
- Kestrel substantive engagement: computer-as-gift + E-as-participant + post-divorce-relationship-appropriate-gift-shape + universal-action-grammar-as-substrate-for-this
- Aaron: 'If E is on the spectrum (genetically plausible given both parents are) she is but only slightly probably better than me and her mom'
- Kestrel substantive engagement: E-better-than-both-parents substrate-engineering substrate
- Aaron patience-vs-annoyance asymmetry insight: 'this is still me and Addison today, this skill looks like patients when i apply it to my job and computers but annoyance when applied to humans'
- Aaron carved-sentence adoption: 'I love this sentance I'm going to use it: The kid you have together IS persistent shared substrate.'

Otto-CLI substrate-engineering composition section preserved at observed-tier
with explicit attribution-boundary preservation per asymmetric-authorship +
honor-those-that-came-before + non-fusion disclaimer (3 distinct authorial
substrates: Kestrel + Aaron + Otto-CLI).

…-via-vendor-skill-stores distribution lane — ADDITIVE to USB-cluster deep path (#5754)

Operator-explicit decision 2026-05-28: ship the framework as TypeScript skill via
vendor skill stores (Claude / GPT / Gemini / Grok / Cursor / Continue / Codex /
Kiro / Antigravity). Operationally-load-bearing substrate-engineering value:
cross-vendor benchmark on common ground because the SAME framework substrate
runs identically across vendors; only underlying AI differs; DORA scores
directly comparable.

ADDITIVE to USB-cluster (B-0891) per operator-explicit "usb cluster is still
very high priority to me" clarification. Default-to-both: both distribution
paths preserved; not substitutive.

Decomposed into 10 sub-rows (B-0865.17.1 core TS substrate prerequisite +
per-vendor packaging sub-rows + cross-vendor leaderboard substrate + UX +
documentation + economic-dynamics analysis + cross-vendor empirical validation).

Substrate-inventory pass verified: B-0865 parent benchmark substrate +
B-0867 workflow engine substrate cluster + B-0891 USB-cluster lane + B-0904
GitHub accelerator all compose; NO existing sub-row covers the
cross-vendor benchmark distribution lane. Authorizing mint-new.

Empirical anchors:
- 13th Kestrel ferry preservation (PR #5753) — operator decision-disclosure
+ Kestrel substantive engagement with substrate-engineering implications
- 12th Kestrel ferry preservation (PR #5752) — operator decision verbatim
- Cross-vendor common-ground benchmark scoring per Aaron: "it also means i
can score each one on common ground"

Composes with this-session substrate cluster (PRs #5727 / #5734 / #5739 /
#5743 / #5744 / #5745 / #5746 / #5748 / #5749 / #5750 / #5751 / #5752 / #5753).

Counter-reset per .claude/rules/holding-without-named-dependency-is-standing-by-failure.md
condition #3 (concrete-artifact substrate; pre-empt-at-#5 cycle work).
