…E POINTER cluster Razor-cadence composes-with audit (batch 3, 4 more rules) found a stale-pointer cluster: memory/feedback_aaron_wwjd_keeps_the_grey_in_aaron_honest_devil_lives_in_the_grey_in_numbers_2026_05_12.md is referenced from 3 files (default-to-both.md rule + 2 memory files) but does NOT exist anywhere — never authored, never in git history. The concept is real (WWJD keeps grey honest; devil in grey-in-numbers — appears in PR #2820 commit narrative). The dedicated memory file was named in conversation context, referenced as if it existed, but the authoring step was skipped. Batch 3 audit: 17/18 cross-refs LIVE (94%). Cumulative 84/85 LIVE (99%) across 12 rules (~26% of 47 total). Filed B-0514 documenting: - All 3 referencing files - Search trail (find + git log) - Reconstruction inputs for missing content - Resolution options (author / update-refs / both-default per default-to-both rule) ID-allocation: B-0507..B-0513 in-flight on PR #3163 (parallel-Otto B-0448 decomposition); B-0514 is next safe ID. Mechanization candidate (NOT filed this tick to avoid overcrowding): a once-per-day tools/hygiene/audit-rule-cross-refs.ts CI run would replace per-tick manual audit. Composes with B-0506 worktree-prune as factory-hygiene cadence. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>

Pull request overview
Documentation-only tick shard plus a new P3 backlog row capturing a stale-pointer finding from the razor-cadence cross-reference audit (batch 3). The audit found that memory/feedback_aaron_wwjd_keeps_the_grey_in_aaron_honest_devil_lives_in_the_grey_in_numbers_2026_05_12.md is referenced from three files but was never authored; B-0514 documents the finding and reconstruction options.
Changes:
- Add tick shard for 18:25Z documenting batch 3 audit results (17/18 LIVE)
- File B-0514 (P3) to track authoring of the missing WWJD memory file and/or updating broken references

… MD032 lint) Three CI failures + 1 review thread on PR #3165 — all addressed in one commit: 1. CI 'check docs/BACKLOG.md generated-index drift' — regenerated via BACKLOG_WRITE_FORCE=1 bun tools/backlog/generate-index.ts. Added 7 missing entries: B-0460, B-0500-B-0506, B-0514. 2. CI 'lint (markdownlint)' MD032/blanks-around-lists at 1825Z.md:49 — added blank line before the "Two MORE memory files also cite the missing file:" list. 3. Codex P2 thread: shard says "6 open PRs" but table listed 7 — removed #3156 from the table (it had merged earlier this session, not part of the refresh count) + added a parenthetical note about its lineage for #3161. Codex P2 thread: 6-vs-7 PR count internal inconsistency in shard table All fixed at e12106c; thread resolved via GraphQL. Gate transitioned BLOCKED → wait-ci. AutoMerge will fire when CI passes. Side observation: stale .git/index.lock on first commit attempt (cleared by self); new deepseek-shadow-wormhole research file appeared mid-tick (parallel-Otto worktree finishing a landing). Both are healthy signs of multi-Otto coordination. Summary
Razor-cadence composes-with audit (batch 3, 4 more rules) found a stale-pointer cluster: `memory/feedback_aaron_wwjd_keeps_the_grey_in_aaron_honest_devil_lives_in_the_grey_in_numbers_2026_05_12.md` is referenced from 3 files but does NOT exist anywhere — never authored, never in git history.
Batch 3 audit
17/18 LIVE (94%) — the 1 MISS is the stale-pointer cluster.
Stale-pointer cluster
`.claude/rules/default-to-both.md` references the missing file in TWO places. Two other memory files also cite it:
The concept is real — "WWJD keeps grey honest; devil in grey-in-numbers" appears in PR #2820 commit narrative — but the dedicated memory file was named in conversation context, referenced as if it existed, but the authoring step was skipped.
B-0514 filed
Documents the finding + reconstruction inputs + resolution options (author / update-refs / both-default per the rule with the broken reference).
Cumulative razor-cadence progress
~26% of 47 `.claude/rules/` files now audited. The pattern is paying out: batches 1-2 were clean, batch 3 caught the first ghost pointer.
ID allocation
B-0507..B-0513 in-flight on PR #3163 (parallel-Otto B-0448 decomposition); B-0514 is next safe ID.
