This pr gives improves the doc and onboarding for new contributors. Kindly let me know if the content / some of the content does not align with the current process, I am happy to reiterate.

Thanks for this @Honyii! We were hunkered down in focus week last week so it slipped by me that you updated this with the requested changes. I merged in main because of some merge conflicts and made some small tweaks to the README.md that we would like to have + updated some links to the new docs locations but all in all looks good and will merge!

@kevinvandijk this is great and are there any contributing tasks that's non code and I could contribute to and non code?
... and thinking about it, is there a possibility of creating an issue/discussion around contributor pathways for code and non code contributors in Kilo and create a documentation for it?
