the Git tag, and the GitHub release independently: retain the npm-version check

Superseded by the slimmer packaging-only PR: #4 |
The published tarball only carried src/index.js, so every consumer rebuilt src/clone-response.js through a postinstall that shells out to esbuild. Under pnpm 12 that script runs before esbuild is linked and the install fails: @kikobeats/cacheable-request@7.0.6 postinstall: ... exited with exit status: 1 The bundle is now built at pack time and published with the package, esbuild moves to devDependencies, and there is no install-time script at all. A release job publishes when the version in package.json is not on npm yet. Do not persist the write token through install. Recreate a missing tag or GitHub release even if npm already has the version. Allow only the three dependency build scripts CI needs. Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>

Note
Medium Risk
Automated npm publishing and changed install/pack behavior affect every downstream consumer; misconfigured secrets or version checks could publish or tag incorrectly.
Overview
Fixes pnpm installs by building
src/clone-response.jsat pack/test time (prepack/pretest) and including it in publishedfiles, instead of generating it in a consumerpostinstallthat could run beforeesbuildis available.esbuildis treated as a dev-only build tool, and the generated bundle is gitignored. The package version is bumped to 7.0.7.
CI drops the global
pnpm_config_dangerously_allow_all_buildsenv var, sets explicit workflow/job permissions (read for tests, write for release), and adds areleasejob on pushes tomasterthat, after tests pass, idempotently publishes to npm (when the version is missing), pushesv*tags, and creates GitHub releases usingNPM_TOKENandgithub.token.A new
pnpm-workspace.yamlwhitelists native/build scripts (esbuild,@parcel/watcher,unrs-resolver) under pnpm’s stricter install defaults.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 16f50b6. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.
