This branch completed the intended RED→GREEN development, but protected main advanced via #127 and its exact-contributor Today concurrency job then correctly exposed that this contributor head no longer contained the protected-main Today regression file. The general validation suite remained green; the remaining CI failure was base-staleness evidence, not a defect in the request-status implementation.
PR #143 rebuilds the same two-file implementation from exact current protected main
f4cae6d83eadb00019d2962a650c55c59a3349aeand must reacquire every exact-head gate. Keeping both PRs open would duplicate writer/check/review work.Refs #55, #143 and #21.
