Purpose

Add docs/product-technical-gap-baseline.md as a non-authoritative, point-in-time product-completion inventory bound to protected main@04d0bc21a2a20693bcf16108cd76d394fe844d23.

The document preserves the standalone fast-mlsirm boundary, records buyer-visible technical gaps, and routes work to existing issues without presenting active PRs as shipped functionality.

Scope

  • protected-main package/product truth and technical-alpha boundary;
  • downstream ownership and a traceable versioned package/schema or immutable-artifact handoff;
  • Rust numerical ownership, multilevel/longitudinal estimation, model selection/recovery, lifecycle, artifact, operations, performance, support, and supply-chain gaps;
  • canonical maturity statuses with separate family/claim limitations;
  • buyer-visible acceptance gates and an APA 7th standards/research baseline, including Semantic Versioning 2.0.0;
  • no production source, formula, API, dependency, workflow, database, package version, support promise, certification or changelog change.

Current exact-head evidence

  • Base: main@04d0bc21a2a20693bcf16108cd76d394fe844d23
  • Head: e6674e78b28b17c52398d8b451bc999a4e078d6d
  • One changed documentation file; current diff is 589 additions and 0 deletions across five commits.
  • Current review findings were fixed and their three inline threads are resolved.
  • Local git diff --check passed; governance and architecture contract tests passed 4/4.
  • Required CI, Security Scan, CodeQL, Semgrep and independent exact-head review must finish before merge. Previous-head evidence does not transfer.
  • This documentation-only PR does not update CHANGELOG.md because it changes no shipped capability or contract.

Issue lineage

Advances #621. Relates to #1077 and #1078. External engines remain isolated validation instruments, never runtime or package dependencies.

No force-push, review dismissal, gate weakening, self-approval or bypass is used.

The added baseline does not change product runtime behavior, but it currently leaves the downstream integration contract and research traceability incomplete and contains terminology and evidence-scope ambiguities. These gaps could mislead consumers of the baseline, so the PR is not merge-ready until they are corrected or explicitly accepted.

Current-head documentation review: corrected the #1070 representative-row wording so the non-authoritative snapshot does not assert a stale Draft state. It now directs the operator to re-fetch readiness, reviews, checks, and overlap with #951/#626 before acting. git diff --check passes; the PR remains under protected Checks/review gates.

Current-head review update for 891981a8 against protected main@04d0bc21a2a20693bcf16108cd76d394fe844d23.

Root cause found and repaired: the documentation used Markdown hard-break trailing spaces, so the authoritative git diff --check contract failed on three metadata lines. Replaced them with explicit <br> markers; the current working-tree diff now passes git diff --check. The document remains explicitly non-authoritative and point-in-time. No further content correction was required in this review.

Current-head review dispatch request for PR #1079. Please review only exact head 891981a against protected main@04d0bc21a2a20693bcf16108cd76d394fe844d23. This documentation-only baseline must remain evidence-bound and stale-state labeled. @opencode-agent review @cwl-noema-review review

Exact-head re-review after the CodeRabbit risk note. Added the versioned downstream handoff and canonical research-traceability links; no runtime/API/database change. Local proof: git diff --check and all linked target files resolve. Current exact head is e6674e78b28b17c52398d8b451bc999a4e078d6d. Fixed all three current-head review findings in docs/product-technical-gap-baseline.md: downstream handoff now requires a versioned schema/package or immutable artifact with provenance; claim-register dispositions use canonical statuses with a separate limitations column; and Section 14/15 now provides in-text APA citations, concise source summaries, links, and the missing Semantic Versioning 2.0.0 reference. Verification: git diff --check passed and the governance/architecture contract tests passed 4/4. @opencode-agent please perform a review-only formal review of this exact head after required Checks settle; do not approve a stale head or mutate the branch.

Reviewed current HEAD e6674e7. This is a documentation-only product boundary baseline: it distinguishes protected-main truth from active PR evidence, defines technical-GA/domain/high-stakes claim profiles, routes ownership to downstream products, records P0/P1 buyer-visible gaps and ordered completion gates, and includes APA 7th standards/research references. git diff --check and non-empty artifact validation passed. No Figma design artifact is required for this documentation-only change. Current hosted checks are still queued; normal auto-merge is enabled.

Rechecked against current PR head e6674e78b28b17c52398d8b451bc999a4e078d6d.

The current document already contains the reviewed traceability elements: Semantic Versioning 2.0.0 is cited in the standards baseline as Preston-Werner (2013), linked to the v2.0.0 specification, and the APA 7th reference baseline includes the corresponding entry. The research section also links the canonical traceability index and summarizes the listed sources.

Evidence: PYTHONPATH=/private/tmp/fast-mlsirm-pr-1079/python python -m pytest -q tests/test_architecture_baseline_contract.py tests/test_architecture_documentation_contract.py tests/test_architecture_execution_governance_contract.py tests/test_governance_index_contract.py tests/test_documentation_coverage_fitness.py tests/test_repository_product_boundary_guidance.py → 31 passed; git diff --check passed. No source edit is needed for current-head comment 3824458193.

Exact-current-head documentation review request for a6b7d1f5 (full SHA is the PR head) against protected main@04d0bc21a2a20693bcf16108cd76d394fe844d23.

This fast-forward update keeps the documentation-only scope and adds:

The current protected core has no web frontend or Storybook workspace. The existing Figma packet identity is explicitly recorded as qD34PfMH8Kr41tFdqLCkem, while its ADR binding remains active PR #1130 and is not claimed as protected-main truth until merged.

Exact-head local verification:

  • PYTHONPATH=.:python python -m pytest -q tests/test_architecture_baseline_contract.py tests/test_architecture_documentation_contract.py tests/test_architecture_execution_governance_contract.py tests/test_governance_index_contract.py tests/test_documentation_coverage_fitness.py tests/test_repository_product_boundary_guidance.py -> 31 passed
  • git diff --check -> passed

Review only this exact head and current changed files. Do not transfer predecessor findings, self-approve, mutate, or merge.

Current-head review fix pushed at 47be6d44dcb99bd4f60eb15c38c64ae517ba8b0b.

Revalidated CodeRabbit finding 3824458193 against exact current head: the baseline named Semantic Versioning 2.0.0 but its APA reference entry was absent. Added the missing APA 7th reference and canonical link only; the documentation-only scope is unchanged.

Verification:

  • PYTHONPATH=.:python python -m pytest -q tests/test_architecture_baseline_contract.py tests/test_architecture_documentation_contract.py tests/test_architecture_execution_governance_contract.py tests/test_governance_index_contract.py tests/test_documentation_coverage_fitness.py tests/test_repository_product_boundary_guidance.py -> 31 passed

Current-head fix pushed at 753ea0932c3e55bdbcb8e7aff81fd7b6c802821a.

Revalidated Devin finding 3828780007 against exact head 47be6d4: the added SemVer APA entry duplicated the existing entry. Removed the earlier out-of-order duplicate and retained the single alphabetically ordered Preston-Werner (2013) reference after NIST. No other traceability content changed.

Verification:

  • documentation contract suite -> 31 passed
  • git diff --check -> passed

Current-head disposition\n\nThe cited findings are already resolved on exact head 753ea0932db2ec1e16b82d00c3319c9e2645f2a6; no duplicate documentation patch is warranted. Current source verification shows:\n\n- downstream consumption requires a traceable versioned package/schema/API or immutable content-addressed artifact, and records package/artifact version, source commit, schema version, and environment provenance;\n- the claim register has the canonical PARTIAL, OUT_OF_SCOPE, PLANNED, and DOWNSTREAM statuses plus a separate Family scope / claim limitations column;\n- the SemVer 2.0.0 entry appears once, in alphabetical reference order, and is cited in the standards section;\n- research sources are linked and briefly summarized before the APA 7th list, with the full references present.\n\nrg confirms one Preston-Werner reference and the exact contract/status/reference sections. The later Devin duplicate-reference report links predecessor commit 47be6d4; the current tree contains one entry. Please issue fresh formal review/Checks against 753ea093.
