I would like to suggest a small quol feature:

currently you have to wait for a recipe to be learned and then click the next one to be learned. I would love to have a feature where I can queue several recipes to be learned by the data disc. # #

I think in general there have been a lot of suggestions and wanted functions to Recipe DB and DataDisc...
We can use this Issue for future update of it.

Summary of what been requested before.

  • 1. Be able to copy db. (maybe)
  • 2. Be able to pull recipe from assemblers directly (won't do, or atleast only as a cheat option)
  • 3. Unload Datadisc with "recorded recipes" (this i think is a good idea)
  • 4. Maybe in addition to above. be able to copy that disc then?
  • 5. Show connection between Db/Assembler with eq. linkable line system. (improvement)
  • 6. Queue to import recipe list.

Already implemented but not really used yet

  • 1. import range of recipes (even entire map)
  • 2. import range for assemblers (even entire map)

DB. Alternative (long term)

In addition another system thats partly been suggested and partly sometthing i have been thinking of.

  • A Universal maincomputer (PRF controller)
  • Special type conduits/bus cable? to link all your assemblers into above controller.
And import recipes that way instead of "in range" system.

This could be a Remake of old system or it could just be a altternative/another tier of how to link to your assemblers.
It could further more be used to do other task to over that "network" eq. connect Storage I/O so in- and output will auto be fed into DSU and Assemblers. and all Recipes are stored in a central controller.

This would kinda be like how Dubwise does it in some of hes mod (rimfellar, rimatomics) where mod have a dedicated controller to control more than one machine.
