Not sure this is best wording. All of the jekyll docs mention installing themes from gems and don't discuss what to do with a non-gem theme. I'm new to jekyll so it didn't occur to me that the usage (and I'm assuming here because again I'm new and could be wrong) is that you should clone and edit the files, add new posts to the collections/_posts directory etc. So I added this note to help the next person but would appreciate feedback or edits to make this more clear and use the correct jekyll terminology etc.
