This reverts commit 1d66bbe.

Needs 2 more fixes:

  • enter does not move to the first excerpt anymore
  • there could be situations when a narrowed search does not decrease the excerpt enough to see the result onscreen

hey @SomeoneToIgnore whats the latest on this? do you plan to revisit it? is there any way to search files in the explorer pane right now? when searching i end up here, thanks!

We're at #53801 (comment) and I have no plans for the near future.
