docs(telemetry): note the CLI sends which AI agent invoked it, not just whether - #2533

…ether The telemetry page lists "whether the CLI was invoked by an AI coding agent". Since the agent-detection feature (astro#16610), the CLI's EventPayload also carries the agent's identity — `agentId` (e.g. "claude-code"), `agentName`, `agentType` (packages/astro/src/events/session.ts:15-21, 153-157) — not just a boolean. Updates the bullet to say "whether — and which — AI coding agent invoked the CLI", and bumps updated_date. Docs-only.

Note that this page is not intended to be a list of everything that telemetry sends in detail. The code is open-source and that's how you know exactly what is sent. This page is just explaining the general purpose for telemetry and the types of data to be sent. Change lgtm just want to make sure we don't set a precedent that any changes in telemetry then also much be synced to that page. |

The telemetry page lists what the CLI collects, including:
Since the agent-detection feature landed (withastro/astro#16610), the CLI actually sends a bit more than whether — it includes which agent.
packages/astro/src/events/session.tspopulatesEventPayloadwithagentId(e.g."claude-code"),agentName, andagentType(lines 15–21, 153–157), across the dev/build/preview/sync/add commands. This is a one-line wording update so the disclosure matches what's sent — "whether — and which — AI coding agent invoked the CLI" — plus a bump of
updated_date. Docs-only, no code.Happy to reword if you'd phrase it differently; I just wanted the page to reflect the agent identity now being included.
AI-assisted; the
