📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

IssueComposer now supports fullscreen issue creation with separate title, description, metadata, draft persistence, and continuous creation. CloudTodoWorkspace forwards the new fields. Sidebar account controls move into a reusable component, settings navigation restores the originating route, conversation scrolling is scoped by conversation, and runtime diagnostics are removed.

Changes

Issue Composer and Workspace

Layer / File(s) Summary
Composer contracts and draft state
wework/src/features/todo/IssueComposer.tsx
The composer adds title, project member, status, priority, tag, assignee, and continuation state. Drafts persist and restore these fields with validation.
Composer submission and fullscreen UI
wework/src/features/todo/IssueComposer.tsx, wework/src/i18n/locales/en/common.json, wework/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN/common.json
The fullscreen editor separates title and description fields, supports metadata controls, keyboard submission, attachments, localized labels, and continued creation.
Workspace integration and composer validation
wework/src/features/todo/CloudTodoWorkspace.tsx, wework/src/features/todo/IssueComposer.test.tsx, wework/src/features/todo/CloudTodoWorkspace.test.tsx
Workspace issue creation forwards metadata and assignees. Tests cover project selection, fullscreen fields, draft restoration, continued creation, and popup controls.

Sidebar Account and Settings

Layer / File(s) Summary
Extracted account and update controls
wework/src/components/layout/DesktopSidebarAccount.tsx
The new component renders account details, settings actions, cloud login and logout, update controls, progress, error tooltips, and cloud connection dialogs.
Sidebar extraction and notification wiring
wework/src/components/layout/DesktopSidebar.tsx
DesktopSidebar delegates account rendering to DesktopSidebarAccount and keeps IM notification outside-pointer handling.
Settings return-path routing
wework/src/components/layout/DesktopWorkbenchLayout.tsx, wework/src/components/layout/DesktopWorkbenchLayout.test.tsx
Settings opening records the source route. The back action restores that route. Tests cover navigation from the todo workspace and return behavior.

Conversation State and Diagnostics

Layer / File(s) Summary
Conversation-scoped scroll snapshots
wework/src/components/chat/ScrollableMessageArea.tsx, wework/src/components/chat/ScrollableMessageArea.test.tsx
Turn-navigation snapshots are saved only for the conversation that started navigation. Regression tests cover conversation switching during pending navigation.
Runtime diagnostic removal
wework/src/features/workbench/runtimeConversationCache.ts
Runtime conversation logging and summarization helpers are removed. Hydration, reduction, caching, notification, and projection behavior remains.

Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~60 minutes

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to ad300

The composer UI is substantially polished, but unresolved behavior can misreport successful issue creation and lead to duplicates, show Chinese fallback text in English, and disable assignee selection for some project spaces. Address or explicitly accept these bounded risks before merging.

Rename settingsMenuRef to match its new role.

Extract formatSidebarTemplate into a shared module.

formatSidebarTemplate is now defined here and in wework/src/components/layout/DesktopSidebar.tsx (line 1004) with identical bodies. Move it to a shared utility and import it in both files.

Note also that t() already interpolates {{version}} and {{progress}} because the values are passed in the options object at lines 104-108 and 114-117. The extra formatSidebarTemplate call is a no-op for those two strings. Consider removing the wrapper calls instead of duplicating the helper.

As per coding guidelines: "Before adding code, search for and reuse existing components, services, utilities, and patterns. Extract shared logic instead of duplicating it."

Prefer behavior assertions over Tailwind class assertions.

toHaveClass('hover:bg-muted', ...), toHaveClass('text-sm', 'font-normal'), and toHaveClass('text-heading-md', ...) pin the tests to utility class names. Any visual tweak breaks these tests without indicating a behavior regression. Keep the accessible-name and containment assertions, and drop the class assertions or replace them with checks on rendered behavior.

Split the fullscreen editor into its own module.

This change grows IssueComposer.tsx to 1106 lines. The fullscreen editor body is a cohesive block with a clear boundary: title input, metadata chips, description, attachments, and footer. Move it to a sibling module such as IssueComposerFullScreen.tsx and pass the composer state through explicit props.

Extract the duplicated project selector.

The compact selector here and the fullscreen selector at Lines 711-743 repeat the same structure: a label wrapper, a truncated project name, a ChevronDown, a hidden select, the same option list, and the same fallback option for an unknown boardKey. This keeps the option list and the unknown-board fallback in one place.

Handle assignment failure as a non-fatal post-create error.

If assignment fails after createLoopItem succeeds, preserve created, add it to board state, return true, and show an assignment-specific error that remains visible after the composer closes. Returning false preserves the draft and allows a retry that creates a duplicate issue.

Do not remove the fallback yet. createLocalDeliveryApi omits assignLoopItem and casts its object to DeliveryApi; implement that method locally before replacing the fallback with a direct call.

Load members for the project the composer targets.

projectMembers is populated only for the selected project by the effect at Lines 1984-2001. The composer now lets the user switch the target project space through workspace-issue-project and workspace-issue-project-compact. For any project other than the selected one, projectMembers[boardKey] is empty, so IssueComposer disables the assignee select and the user cannot assign an owner.

Fetch members for the composer's current boardKey, or restrict the composer project selector to projects whose members are already loaded.

📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Enlarge the new fullscreen controls on mobile.

The new interactive controls render below the mobile minimum: the metadata chips and the attach, continue-creating, and submit buttons use h-8 (32px), and the tag remove button uses h-4 w-4 (16px). The close, collapse, and expand buttons in this file already use h-11 w-11 md:h-8 md:w-8, so apply the same pattern here.

As per coding guidelines, "Mobile is <=767px, tablet 768px–1023px, desktop >=1024px. ... Mobile controls must be at least 44px × 44px."

📱 Proposed fix for two representative controls
- className="flex h-4 w-4 items-center justify-center rounded-full text-text-muted hover:bg-muted hover:text-text-primary"

Apply the same responsive height to the metadata chips at Lines 711, 744, 765, and 796, and to the continue-creating and submit buttons.

Also applies to: 865-878, 919-931, 967-976

Use plural forms for the English attachment count.

"{{count}} attachments" renders "1 attachments" for a single attachment. This file already uses i18next plural suffixes elsewhere, for example priority_filter_archive_title_one and priority_filter_archive_title_other. Apply the same pattern here.
