There doesn't seem to have been a lot of activity on this recently. What's the current state here @nschwermann? Is there any way we can support you? |
|
Hey there... Potentially yes. I have been pulled into a very time consuming project and have not been able to complete the demo milestones. If you have interest to work on this then let me know. It should be very straightforward to port existing examples to Android on this branch if you have experience with it. Also all the actual work is good to go you can fork my branch and make Android apps now if you want. @takahser |

Hi @nschwermann
Sorry, this might be my fault. I probably should have expressed myself clearer, I was actually asking on behalf of the W3F grants program. :) And ofc I'm happy to hear that you're still planning to follow up on the implementation of this grant. Also, would it be possible to provide an approximate estimate on when you plan to work on it again and potentially also when you plan to deliver? |
|
@nschwermann note that seeing as this is already quite delayed and potentially no longer very relevant (since PolkaJ is no longer being maintained), we would rather cancel the rest of the grant if you don't have a clear timeline to work on it. You can then apply again at any time. |

I am actively hiring someone onto my new company to finish this milestone
for you.

Hey Nathan, that's great to hear. Please keep us posted. |
|
Any news on this, @nschwermann? |

Thanks for the bump @semuelle it seems the polkaj library has been abandoned I'm not sure if it will make sense to continue this final milestone as it will not be compatible with the current runtime still. Perhaps it would make sense to reboot this project using kotlin multi-platform so that it can also run on iOS |

Thanks for the update. I reached out the the Emerald team to see what's the status, but it seems that you are correct. |
Apparently not compatible with android w3f/Grants-Program#573 TODO try with the other lib 3rd_party/
Project Abstract
Amendment for the following PR #301
Thank you so much for your patience, there were some personal issues that delayed me. Also I made a slight change to the milestone delivery based on some things I had missed on the original PR.
For which grant level are you applying?
