Project Abstract

N3MUS (https://hub.n3mus.com/) is the go-to gamer acquisition platform, powering high-performing on-chain tournaments that drive real engagement. We help studios reach thousands of real players with a plug-and-play solution that delivers measurable impact fast.

🎮 N3MUS Tournaments
The first fully automated, on-chain tournament platform designed to drive player acquisition, boost retention, and grow revenue. Players complete immersive quests and climb leaderboards, while every score, mission, and reward is logged on-chain for full transparency and trust. Studios get instant access to high-intent gamers.

💥 The N3MUS Effect
Studios call it “the N3MUS effect.” One said: “Our game crashed from the number of gameplays, it was wild.” Another: “Integration was super easy, we were live in under an hour.”
We’ve helped games go from zero to 10,000+ gameplays in just one week.

Application Checklist

  • The application template has been copied and aptly renamed (project_name.md).
  • I have read the application guidelines.
  • Payment details have been provided (Polkadot AssetHub (USDC & DOT) address in the application and bank details via email, if applicable).
  • I understand that an agreed upon percentage of each milestone will be paid in vested DOT, to the Polkadot address listed in the application.
  • I am aware that, in order to receive a grant, I (and the entity I represent) have to successfully complete a KYC/KYB check.
  • The software delivered for this grant will be released under an open-source license specified in the application.
  • The initial PR contains only one commit (squash and force-push if needed).
  • The grant will only be announced once the first milestone has been accepted (see the announcement guidelines).
  • I prefer the discussion of this application to take place in a private Element/Matrix channel. My username is: @_______:matrix.org (change the homeserver if you use a different one)

Hi @n3mus-neal the milestone delivery tables are currently missing the mandatory deliverables as shown in the application template. These should be added to each milestone. Could you update it to adhere closer to the template? Thanks!

Also, @n3mus-neal, you mention that 85% of funds would be used for incentivization, but I don't see this listed in the deliverables. Would these fall under "prizepool" ("Conduct between 17-34 tournaments, depending on the prizepool")? Can you elaborate what it means to "run a tournament"?

Updated based on the earlier made comments and restructured the milestones.

@semuelle @keeganquigley apologies for the slow response! We've fully reworked the milestones to make it more clear. Hopefully this answers your questions! If not, I'm happy to elaborate!

Thank you for the changes, @n3mus-neal, and sorry for the wait.

Given the fact that a lot of the deliverables are not open source, i.e. not reusable, I think this would be a better fit for the treasury. That being said, I will share the application with the rest of the committee.

@n3mus-neal would you be willing to lower the price tag at all? Typically we don't go over $100k for the public grants program. I agree that this is probably a better fit for the treasury, however.

Hi @keeganquigley i've lowered the grant request and did a calculation throughout the number of tournaments we can run for Polkadot!

Keep me posted on the outcome of the committee @semuelle! And hopefully you had a great vacation.

Thank you for the quick responses!

Thanks @n3mus-neal for making the changes. The grants team discussed your updated application again today, and unfortunately is unwilling to support it. This is mainly because the W3F grants program focuses solely on software development, and typically doesn't cover things like prize money or events (including tournaments), therefore we don't feel that W3F is the best fit for funding this project.

Thanks for all your time & efforts during the application process, and we wish you the best of luck in securing funding. Please see our alternative funding sources for other potential avenues.
