These steps resolve dependency conflicts introduced by the 0.33 runtime:

  • vLLM 0.33 requires Pillow 13, while Gradio 6.31 declares Pillow <13. The hash-pinned Gradio source patch permits Pillow 13 and repairs integer-mode PNG handling, so we can retain the normal dev/demo dependencies.
  • This exact base image also contains an unused OpenTelemetry exporter whose SDK constraint conflicts with LMCache. The guard checks the known base/package metadata and confirms no installed package requires that exporter before removing it.
  • The LMCache rebuild below these lines addresses its Torch 2.13-built CUDA extension failing under Torch 2.14.

The regular dependency solve and uv pip check are retained; the Gradio wheel rebuild was byte-reproducible. Full exact-head image/CI validation is still pending.

# This exact base contains an unused exporter requiring a newer SDK than
# LMCache supports. Validate its known metadata before removing that orphan.
