This pull request is not meant for the vim-script maintainers of course, but I will forward a link to the plugin's author.

I wanted to add support for `` and <> pairs, which I've added and then
ran into a problem when deleting the closing counterpart after
triggering the insertion, e.g. pressing "(" and then del.
This should be fixed/improved now.

Another issue I've found is '"=>', which will become '"="' instead of
the expected "=>". I've started debugging this, but then jumped ship to
another autoclose plugin (https://github.com/Townk/vim-autoclose/),
which works better for me.

I just wanted to provide you the work I've done so far, in case you're
interested.

Thanks - also for the vt100-cursor-keys fix, which I've ported!
