Add `Workspace.lockfilePackages()` to `@turbo/repository`, returning the
external packages referenced by a workspace's lockfile as a flat, sorted,
deduplicated list of `{ name, version }` structs plus any reasons the
lockfile could not be fully parsed.
Unlike the existing `packagesFromLockfile()` (which returns
`npm/<name>@<version>` strings and throws when no lockfile is found), this
method:
- returns structured `{ name, version }` entries
- strips pnpm peer-dependency closures so `${name}@${version}` is always a
plain `pkg@1.2.3` identity, never `pkg@1.2.3(other@4.5.6)`
- never throws: a missing or unparseable lockfile yields empty `packages`
and a populated `errors` list, so callers can emit metrics on both
success and failure
Parse-failure reasons are surfaced from the JavaScript external resolution
domain via a new `PackageGraph::javascript_external_resolution()` accessor
that distinguishes a resolved (possibly empty) listing from an unavailable
one carrying a machine-readable reason code and message.
Also expose the declared package manager version on
`Workspace.packageManager.version`, read from the root package.json
`packageManager` field or `devEngines.packageManager.version`.

Replace the free-text `errors: string[]` on `Workspace.lockfilePackages()`
with typed `LockfileError { kind, message }` entries, where `kind` is a
stable `LockfileErrorKind` string enum:
- NoLockfile — no JS lockfile resolution available
- LockfileUnreadable — lockfile present but could not be read/parsed
- ResolutionFailed — dependency graph could not be resolved
- UnparseableEntry — a lockfile entry's name@version could not be parsed
Underlying resolver reason codes are mapped to these categories (and
preserved in the message), so consumers can group failure modes in metrics
without parsing human-readable strings.

…ries for pnpm peer-dependency variants, violating its documented "deduplicated" contract. This commit fixes the issue reported at packages/turbo-repository/rust/src/lib.rs:289 ## Bug `Workspace::lockfile_packages()` (Resolved branch, `packages/turbo-repository/rust/src/lib.rs:289`) builds its `packages` vector from stripped lockfile identities and **sorts** them, but never **dedups** after stripping. ### Why duplicates survive 1. **Upstream dedup keys on the full identity.** `PackageGraph::javascript_external_resolution()` dedups via a `HashSet<ExternalPackageIdentity>`. `ExternalPackageIdentity` equality/hash are defined over `(key, version)` only (`crates/turborepo-repository/src/external_resolution.rs:153` and `:173`). 2. **pnpm v7/v9 keys carry the peer-dependency closure.** `PnpmLockfile::human_name()` returns `None` for `V7AndV9` (`crates/turborepo-lockfiles/src/pnpm/data.rs:1015`), so `ExternalPackageIdentity::display_name()` falls back to the raw `key`, which includes the peer closure — e.g. `react-dom@18.2.0(react@18.2.0)` vs `react-dom@18.2.0(react@17.0.0)`. These are **distinct** identities and both pass the upstream `HashSet` dedup. 3. **`split_identity()` collapses the variants.** It strips the `(...)` peer closure, mapping both keys to the same `{ name: "react-dom", version: "18.2.0" }`. 4. **The final step only sorts.** `packages.sort_by(...)` orders the list but does not remove adjacent equals, so the output contains duplicate `{ name, version }` entries. ### Trigger A pnpm (v7/v9) monorepo where the same package is resolved against multiple peer sets (a very common scenario, e.g. `react-dom` pinned against different `react` versions across workspaces). This directly contradicts the doc comment ("flat, sorted, deduplicated list") and would fail the TS test asserting `new Set(keys).size === keys.length`. ## Fix After the existing sort (which groups equal `(name, version)` pairs adjacently), dedup the vector: ```rust packages.dedup_by(|a, b| a.name == b.name && a.version == b.version); ``` Since `dedup_by` only removes consecutive duplicates and the vector is already sorted by `(name, version)`, this reliably collapses all post-strip duplicates, restoring the documented deduplicated contract. Add
Workspace.lockfilePackages()to@turbo/repository, returning theexternal packages referenced by a workspace's lockfile as a flat, sorted,
deduplicated list of
{ name, version }structs plus any reasons thelockfile could not be fully parsed.
Unlike the existing
packagesFromLockfile()(which returnsnpm/<name>@<version>strings and throws when no lockfile is found), thismethod:
{ name, version }entries${name}@${version}is always aplain
pkg@1.2.3identity, neverpkg@1.2.3(other@4.5.6)packagesand a populated
errorslist, so callers can emit metrics on bothsuccess and failure
Parse-failure reasons are surfaced from the JavaScript external resolution
domain via a new
PackageGraph::javascript_external_resolution()accessorthat distinguishes a resolved (possibly empty) listing from an unavailable
one carrying a machine-readable reason code and message.
Also expose the declared package manager version on
