Material for the RNA-seq course at Heidelberg University

For the course you need to bring a laptop with the following installed:
- R - If you already have an existing installation of R, please make sure that your R version is 4.3.
- RStudio
If you have problems with the installation, take a look at this video on how to install R and RStudio.

Once you have installed R and RStudio, please go to the exercises page. There you will find two exercises to verify that everyone has a working R installation setup before the course and provides a recap on first steps in R. Please take a look at both exercises before Friday 15 Nov and hand in the output (see details in the exercises)
Recommended book for further reading include:
- Data Analysis for Life Science by Rafael Irizarry and Mike Love. (You can move the slider to 0$ to get a free copy. In the pdf version you will can also find links to Rmd-Documents that were used to generate the book and can be used to directly re-run and experiment with the code. Several of the exercises in this course are based on this book.)
- Modern Statistics for Modern Biology by Susan Holmes and Wolfgang Huber
