Everytime I enter the API code into the configuration tab, I receive a "There was an error with your Govee API Key. Please confirm and try again."

Any insight on to what I could possibly be doing wrong here. I tried getting new api codes thru the govee app and I still get the same error.

It seems to be a browser CORS issue, not your API. I can get it to execute via command line and Postman just fine, it’s something that’s up with the new browser security implementations. Any thoughts on how to get this to work. Ive tried Chrome, Firefox, Windows browser and all 3 give me the same error.

I’m still troubleshooting it locally, it’s going to take me a little bit to get it done. Are you familiar with postman or do you have access to a linux command line? I am not sure what is the issue, but for sure it is browser related. I got it working with the old Internet Explorer. Just open the index file with old Internet Explorer, not Edge.

Yeah it’s a new HTML 5 issue security restriction. I’ve updated the README to tell you to go to a specific page on a different site to access it properly. I'm sorry I don't follow. What should I do to get this to work? I've tried internet explorer and all the other browsers but it's all the same. Even tried that postman program but I don't know how to use it so didn't get anywhere really.

Thank you for the updated link! That worked perfectly. I really appreciate the work you've done here. I understand this was all out of the kindness of your heart and for that I Thank you so very much! I would have returned the Govee products had this not worked.

For anyone else having issue I did also have to contact Govee support at [email protected] to request a new API key as the original one they sent me still didn't work even with the new link.

Thanks a lot, I had the same issue and using the updated link I solved it. You can add Govee Glide H6062 to the list of supported devices
