Current Behavior

The tree view opens without animation, confusing. (There is a sudden change of states that is hard to grasp.)

Desired Behavior

We want to introduce an animation when opening the menu so the user doesn't feel lost.

The animation should be 300ms and look like this:

@Bonapara In the current version , we don't have a tree view under any object . So should this issue await some other issue?

Issue #6485

Introduced the animation when opening the menu.

Please let me know if this is fine or I need to make further changes.
Thank you.

Hi @Bonapara ! I am currently working in a group of 5 students from Carnegie Mellon taking a software engineering course and our final project is to contribute to an open-source repo. Our project has multiple checkpoints and will be due on December 8 (meaning our PR will take longer to open). Would it be possible for us to be assigned to this issue (or any issues that you think would be a good fit)? Thanks!
