Support Arabic text in TextView and in ListView

How is it possible to display/edit Arabic (or other Right-to-Left) language in a TextView ?
The TextDirection  property has no effect.

I also have a ListView (used to log messages) where I add mixed language text (English and Arabic for instance), again I cannot see how I can properly display the Arabic words
