Apple's Home app (as of iOS/iPadOS 17) does not support the full functionality of this plugin:

• It does not display HomeKit characteristics that are not part of the standard service definition, such as the status characteristics that this plugin attaches to the main power Switch service. This results in most of the appliance status not being visible.
• It does not allow an accessory's Identify routine to be triggered. This is needed to ask this plugin to write information about an appliance to the Homebridge log file, e.g. a template configuration for customising programs.
• It only shows numeric labels for Stateless Programmable Switch services instead of their names. These are used for triggering HomeKit automation from appliance events.

Recommended HomeKit App

The Eve App is especially recommended. It is completely free, and addresses all of the shortcomings of the Home app listed above.

Matthias Hochgatterer's Home+ was previously recommended. Unfortunately, successive versions have morphed it closer to the Home app and now suffers from many of the same issues. Hence, it is no longer recommedned.
