tensorflow-io 0.23.0 release #1580
Description
As part of the effort for python 3.10 support, we should work on a v0.23.0 release. This is important as tensorflow-io-gcs-filesystem is a dependency of tensorflow as well. (to be done before TF 2.8 branch cut).
Here is the list of items for 0.23.0:
- Bump version string to 0.23.0 in tensorflow_io/python/ops/version_ops.py (PR Update to 0.23.0 with release note. #1586)
- Update RELEASE.md to capture 0.23.0 changes (PR Update to 0.23.0 with release note. #1586)
- Update README.md to update 0.23.0 release date (PR Update to 0.23.0 with release note. #1586)
- When GitHub Actions complete the build against the master, download the artifact with the name tensorflow-io-release. Uncompress the content and all binaries for release are inside.
- Do minimal sanity test to make sure at least the first section of getting started example code works locally.
- Ideally, push to https://test.pypi.org for additional sanity test.
- Push all binaries to PyPI.org.
- Release on GitHub repo with v0.23.0 tag.
