This PR takes all previously experimental or future features and enables them by default. Some things in here we may fine tune (the font-size scale is something Steve and I plan to triple-check that we're happy with) but we can do that in another pass before the release of 2.0.
We still need to add the new color palette, but we'll be doing that in a separate PR as well.
