UX: Can not move list item in multi column layout

Bug Report

Problematic behavior
When there is a second column present it is not possible to move the list item in the first column any more, because the "handler" to drag and drop the item disappears when hovering over it:

Expected behavior/code
The "handler" should stay when hovering over it, instead of switching to the second column.
