Bug: long requirement spans across page limits in PDF view

Describe the bug

When a requirement has a field of long text, the requirement block would exceed the page border/limit. Only in the PDF view. See attached screenshot:

Hi @fniu, thanks a lot for reporting this. It is very important for us to fix all HTML2PDF issues like this one.

We tried this with a similar example and could NOT reproduce this issue on our end. We are getting the expected behavior when the whole field is taken to the next page.

There is one known issue that we haven't fixed yet, and that is when the statement field is super long, i.e., longer than one A4 page, but it doesn't seem to be the case here.

Is there a chance you could export your example to StrictDoc printable HTML and send it to us here? You can do this by doing export --formats=html2pdf and sending us the PDF-related HTML. Of course, you will have to anonymize your text somehow if it is coming from a real project.

Having an HTML sample would also help us understand whether above this problematic requirement there is already another element that causes any breakage in the print page layout. Maybe it is not the case, we could consider this as a possible contributing factor.

Hey @fniu, just a small heads-up. The splitting of tables based on CSS grids is something that we are working on the HTML2PDF side.

While that is being worked on, we have released a new version 0.9.0 which changes the default style of traceable items to Narrative.

Now the default style is controlled with VIEW_STYLE (formerly REQUIREMENT_STYLE), see here: https://strictdoc.readthedocs.io/en/stable/stable/docs/strictdoc_01_user_guide.html#SECTION-UG-VIEW_STYLE.

The idea behind this new Narrative (non-table, description text-driven) style is to support traceable items that are more of a descriptive text nature compared to the normal shall-style requirements. If your document happens to consist of the traceable items but they could benefit from this Narrative style, consider printing it with HTML2PDF, and it should work better when it comes to splitting the pages because the CSS layout of Narrative should be easier.

Let me know if this helps and in the meantime we will continue fixing the Table style to resolve your original issue reported here.
