Closes #

What I did

When an automigration calls storybook add, its progress lines land between the per-fix results of the upgrade, so the list of ✔ and ✕ lines is broken up by long wrapped lines with absolute paths.
This PR sends those lines to the debug log when add runs inside an automigration.

addon-mcp and angular-to-angular-vite call add(), which logged Verifying, Installing, and Adding '@storybook/addon-mcp' to the "addons" field in /absolute/path/main.ts.
Those automigrations now pass a logger whose log is logger.debug:

export const automigrationLogger = { ...logger, log: logger.debug };

A standalone storybook add prints the same lines as before, with the main config path now relative to the working directory.

Split out of #36476, which collected the bugs that running storybook upgrade against ten open-source Storybook 10 monorepos turned up on next.

Caution

This section is mandatory for all contributions. If you believe no manual test is necessary, please state so explicitly. Thanks!

  1. Clone https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty and install dependencies (yarn install --mode=skip-build).
  2. Run npx storybook@<canary> upgrade --yes from an AI agent session (so addon-mcp applies).
  3. Confirm each project's list shows only ✔ and ✕ lines, without Verifying or Adding ... to the "addons" field lines.
  4. In any project, run npx storybook@<canary> add @storybook/addon-a11y and confirm the Adding ... line shows the main config path relative to the working directory.

…orybook add

storybook add printed the absolute path of the main config, which wraps
across several lines in an upgrade of a monorepo.

…k log

addon-mcp and angular-to-angular-vite call add(), whose Verifying,
Installing and Adding lines broke up the list of fix results. They now
pass a logger that sends log lines to debug; storybook add itself prints
the same as before.

Walkthrough

The add command now displays the main configuration path relative to the current working directory. Selected automigrations pass a logger that routes log calls through logger.debug. Tests cover the relative path and logger options.

The new path test covers the intended output, but its mock setup misses the repository’s required test pattern. This is a small, localized cleanup; no user-facing failure is identified.

Move the mock setup into a scoped beforeEach.

This test sets the mock behavior inside the test and accesses the mock without vi.mocked(). Move the setup into a test-scoped beforeEach and access the mock through vi.mocked(MockedMainConfigFileHelper.getStorybookData).

As per coding guidelines, “Mock implementations should be placed in beforeEach blocks” and “Use vi.mocked() to access and implement mock behaviors.”
