Stocker et al. (2019) GMD
This version of SOFUN was used for global simulations used for Stocker et al. (2019) GMD. It implements the following changes relative to the version used for Stocker et al. (2019) Nature Geosci.:
- Included VPD calculation based on monthly Tmin and Tmax from CRU TS
- Included pressure-dependency of gamma-star (CO2 compensation point) in pmodel()

New features implemented:
- Reading variable water holding capacity from file
- Reading vegetation cover type from file, used to distinguish parametrisation in soil moisture stress function between grasslands and non-grasslands
This model version is used for simulations presented at EGU 2018.

This is the first public release of the SOFUN modelling framework. Stable integration levels include 'splash' and 'pmodel'. 'cmodel' and 'cnmodel' are under development. This release allows both global and site-scale simulations. NetCDF functionalities are available for global simulations for input reading and output writing. This version is used for simulations in Stocker et al. (in prep.) Satellite observations underestimate the impact of drought on terrestrial primary productivity.
