Create the infrastructure with Terraform

1. Initialize terraform in the specific directory
terraform init

2. Apply the terraform manifests
terraform apply


Installing istio:

1. Go to the Istio release page to download the installation file for your OS, or download and extract the latest release automatically (Linux or macOS):
curl -L https://istio.io/downloadIstio | sh -

2. Move to the Istio package directory. For example, if the package is istio-1.15.3:
cd istio-1.15.3

3. Add the istioctl client to your path (Linux or macOS):
export PATH=$PWD/bin:$PATH

4. Install istio
istioctl install

5.Add a namespace label to instruct Istio to automatically inject Envoy sidecar proxies when you deploy your application later:
kubectl label namespace default istio-injection=enabled

6. Verify everything is working
istioctl analyze



Kubernetes config:

1. Apply deployv1.yaml, deployv3.yaml and ingress.yaml for a basic application on HTTP

2. Edit flaskv3-service's Health Check to make the health check to /v3, not /



DNS:

1. Go to Cloud Domain and create a domain

2. Go to Cloud DNS and create a zone and add the A records to that zone that is poining to the static IP used by the Load Balancer



SSL:

1. https://cloud.google.com/kubernetes-engine/docs/how-to/managed-certs#setting_up_a_google-managed_certificate
(if DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN) check on 4G incognito 


ISTIO GATEWAY / VIRTUAL SERVICE

I used an ingress resource, but it would be better to use an ingress-gateway with VirtualService rules for traffic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
