Agile import rates all 0.0

Describe the bug
Suddenly - today - all the agile import values current and forward are 0.0p. Export numbers and everything else are normal. I am not aware of any changes and all software is current. I have run predbat for months absolutely fine. I can see the agile rates now and next are showing correct from octopus energy -

Log file
Can you capture a log file from the time of the issue, debug mode is not normally required.

You can download the logfile from the WebUI on the Dash tab select predbat_debug.log

Predbat debug yaml file
This is important for any plan related issues.

Once you have captured the issue go to the Web UI, in the Dash tab click on predbat_debug.yaml and wait 30 seconds for it to download. Select 'keep' if your Web Browser thinks the file is dangerous.

Rename the download file to predbat_debug.yaml.txt and upload it to Github. This will allow your plan to be reproduced and also stores all your settings for review.

It is worth trying the obvious 'fixes'
Restart Predbat.
If this doesn't work, restart HA (or even better a complete reboot).

If these potential fixes fail, please include log file and debug yaml files and apps.yaml.
Also add the version of HA that you are running (See Settings/About)

OK - it now wont reboot - throwing an exception.
I have restarted (as in power cycled) the Pi - no different.
Rest of HA is up and running as normal.

I have also tried altering the apps.yaml to pull Giv data from the cloud but this has made no difference. I still see this error:

The info that you have supplied is useful and gives some leads towards finding a solution.
Can you look at givTCP log and see if it is behaving?
I will often reboot givTCP as well and MQTT.

If givTCP is behaving, it is worth restarting Predbat again.
When rebooting, givTCP usually takes a little time to fully connect to your network. If Predbat is restarting at the same time, the restart may fail if givTCP isn't fully set up. I have had this problem.

I will look at your errors.
There are others who have more expertise than me.

Other fixes I might consider are below.
But first wait to see if you get suggestions from folk more knowledgable than me:

• downgrading Predbat to v8.24.2. Some have had issues with v8.25.x and there is an unfixed bug that affects charts in the WebUI, especially Compare, PV and PV7.
• Restoring HA back to v2025.9.4. Whether this also rests Predbat will depend whether you have this set in your backup settings.
  For reference, this is a section of my Predbat log when restating:

There is a current issue which looks as if it may be the tariff URLs in apps.yaml.
Try deleting -BB from each Agile line.
I would first copy the line
Comment out the original and then delete -BB in the copy. You then still have a copy of the original that you can go back to.
I have made this change myself and have got Agile data showing.

The evidence from the log indicates that Predbat v8.25.3 is running for you with a plan attempted every 5 minutes. e.g.

I dont follow what you mean here - anything with BB in it in apps.yaml is # out and not in use...

I have completely restarted the Pi and rebooted and also restarted predbat after everythign else is running. I have tried rebullding predbat. All to no avail.

I don't know where you are with what you have changed and what is still as you first posted it, but the error above says that Predbat is unable to retrieve your Octopus import rates - you can see that in the module and function names.

That would align with you seeing zero rates in the plan.

Changing to downloading giv data from the cloud won't fix that.

So you need to focus on apps.yaml configuration where these things are defined.

I see a number of issues in your apps.yaml.

Some things are not indented properly, e.g.

  currency_symbols:
   - '£'
   - 'p'

Some things you have commented bits out but left others in so predbat won't be able to read the yaml correctly. e.g.:

Ok - but I am still on Agile and the electricity meter entities for now and next are still showing the correct rate. I cannot see anywhere on my Octopus account on their website where these URL's are accessible or detailed to know if they are correct or not

You've chosen to use the Octopus URL which is pointed out in the documentation as being an expert feature https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/energy-rates/#octopus-rates-url

The full list of available products and their URL's is at https://api.octopus.energy/v1/products/

You would be easier to use the Octopus integration directly and then you won't have to work out the URL if it changes.
