(Related to #7184.) See #10870 for proposed patch introducing callback template for StatelessSessions. Perhaps the community could help refine the implementation to make it more robust.

As per my argument in #10870, we're not going to add further HibernateTemplate style support - neither for standard Hibernate operations nor for stateless session operations.

We do keep the old HibernateTemplate around in order to make it easier to move existing repository code along with a Spring Framework upgrade, but we generally don't recommend using it for new code anymore.
