Message filtering based on user preferences/rights is an use case that lots of applications using the new Spring websocket/broker relay support might have.

In the referenced URL (issue on the spring-websocket-portfolio app) the UserSessionRegistry was mentioned as an option for applying some filtering, but this interface is not easily discoverable by reading the documentation.

Would be nice if the UserSessionRegistry (and any other relevant classes) could be mentioned.

One extra question. Does an opposite interface exist, one that retrieves an user based on the simpSessionId?

So is there a class to retrieve the user based on the simpSessionId? :)

No there is no way to obtain that currently.
