Create a Unified EL implementation with Spring EL [SPR-6080]

Spring EL is superior to unified EL in a number of ways. It would be nice if a Unified EL implementation could be created with Spring EL so that Spring EL could be used directly in .jsps and JSF.

This would benefit both JSP 2.1+ and JSF 1.2+ environments.

It would particularly help Spring Roo as JSPX is the preferred template language.

It would be nice if the JSR-341 specification, http://java.net/downloads/el-spec/EL3.0.EDR.pdf could be reflected in solution of this issue.

I'm afraid this is not on our roadmap at all, since neither JSP nor JSF have a strong position in terms of our development focus anymore. We recommend the standard facilities there for any kind of expression use.
