It's better to provide support for multiple Gradle major versions, to help users' Gradle migration.
At the same time, we want to reduce Gradle versions to support, to keep the codebase simple, and ease our maintenance.
Gradle now maintains 6.9.x and 7.x, so let's drop support for Gradle 6.8 or older.
