Hi.
I wanted to play with Snort and understand the application, and I was struggling with the build process a bit because dependencies are not listed in any order. In fact, I installed
pcapafter install the DAQ library, which led to snort not being able to find the PCAP in/usr/local/lib/daq.So, I have taken the liberty of listing the dependencies in topological order, wherein dependencies that depend on other dependencies, are listed after them.
This should help newcomers with the build process and expedite the setup process.
