slack-vitess-r14.0.5: slack-cherrypick: revert backup compressor

Description

similar as #25, we need to revert backup compressor from pargzip to pgzip, context in the old PR.

One difference this time is that the test changes were already in v14, and evolved in upstream by the PRs:

• Temp: Pin XtraBackup version used at 2.4.24 for 5.7 tests vitessio/vitess#10194
• Revert to using XtraBackup 2.4-latest now that 2.4.26 is out vitessio/vitess#10241
