Bug Description

If I send certain valid URLs that contain domains like scholar.social, they are not parsed correctly and shown as links in Signal Desktop. They appear as plain text.

E.g. I send the following link to a friend:

https://scholar.social/@bgcarlisle/102368032349220559

And it appears as plain text, not a link

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Send a URL with Signal that is on a domain like scholar.social
  2. That's it

Actual Result:

The text of the link appears, but it has not been converted to a clickable link, because the app doesn't parse it correctly as a URL.

Expected Result:

Text is converted to a link

Platform Info

Signal Version:

1.26.2

Operating System:

elementary OS 5.0
