The following tickets should be addressed to formally call the installation tasks complete:

Installation requires a pre-step to install Cython -- #971
Update Linux run script to detect if build and Tk tools installed -- #937
Update Linux run scripts (Macs, too) with proper local pathing -- #936
Improvements to Windows installation script -- #735
Exotic GUI fails to locate correct Python runtime in some circumstances -- #992
Unify version checking in the Exotic GUI script -- #1029

In progress. Migrated to pyproject-based build system with some repo reorganization per standards. See 16119e5 .
