Status of this crate?

Hi @nastevens!

It seems that this crate is a remnant from before the embedded working group was fully established, so it's not maintained by any team at the moment. Would you be up for transferring the crate/repo to the team? This crate is quite useful sometimes and it'd be great if we can keep it up to date.

If there's a team that would like to take this crate on, I am more than happy to do so. Most of my work these days is in the embedded linux realm so I'm not often building without a memory allocator available.

Which team did you have in mind for maintenance?

Hmm, that's a good question. I suppose it would fit well with the planned libraries team, but that doesn't exist yet.

In the meantime I'm more than happy to review PRs and add other maintainers as needed. I just haven't needed any new features for my own uses lately.

We discussed the status of fixedvec in the weekly meeting, with the conclusion that keeping the crate and the git repo around doesn't do any harm, even if there's not much activity.

However it might be nice to put a note in the README mentioning the heapless crate, which has more features and is actively maintained.
