This caused running the app with local storage error when it tried to get the directories for the s3_bucket key. When this was run for the first time, the directory didn't exist.

This doesn't seem to fix the issue. What command(s) are you running?

This allowed "rake gemcutter:import:process MYLOCALGEMDIR" to work, and import my local gems. Before, it was raising the error in Issue #293.

I'm not sure what you mean. I was able to reproduce the issue on a fresh install, and this solved the errors I was seeing.

i can verify that commit 4ff7fde30e6bba9489d16ad71609a325e0aeaf06 fixes the import issue seen in issue #293
