Eenum Build Status

Eenum is a simple enumeration parse transform for Erlang. It transforms -enum attributes into to_int/2 and to_atom/2 functions.

How to use it?

  • Run make to build.
  • Run make test to run tests.
  • Add as a dependency to your rebar.config:
{deps, [{eenum, ".*", {git, "git://github.com/rpt/eenum.git"}}]}.
  • Look below for an example...

Parse transform

Eenum uses parse transform so you have to add this to your module...

-compile({parse_transform, eenum}).

... or put this inside your rebar.config:

{erl_opts, [{parse_transform, eenum}]}.

Example

%% Simple enumeration
-enum({simple_enum, [zero,
                     one,
                     two,
                     three]}).

%% Explicit enumeration
-enum({explicit_enum, [{zero, 0},
                       {two, 2},
                       {four, 4},
                       {six, 6}]}).

%% Mixed enumeration
-enum({mixed_enum, [{one, 1},
                    two,
                    {four, 4},
                    five]}).

Will be translated to:

-export([to_int/2, to_atom/2, keys/1, values/1]).

Changes

Version 0.1.2

  • Use semantic versioning
  • Compile and test on R17
  • Handle columns

Version 1.1

  • Adds keys/1 and values/1 functions
  • Uses hierarchical functions for speedup
